How to grow Setaria from Seed
Surface sow onto moist, well drained compost just covering the seed with a sprinkling of soil at and ideal temperature of 59-68F (15-20C). Germination usually takes 2-4 weeks and once germinated, grow on in cooler conditions at approx 59F (15C).
Harden off once any danger of frost has passed. Grow on in a light, well drained position with partial or full sun. The seed head formation is improved the sunnier the position. Cut back old foliage in the Spring as new foliage emerges.
